Call for Sessions – CHNT31
The Call for Sessions for CHNT31 – Getting Dirty: Back to the Roots of Cultural Heritage Work is now open.
In 2026, CHNT will focus on the places where cultural heritage is created and understood: the field, historic structures, cultural landscapes, and all environments in which digital methods must operate under real-world conditions.
We invite researchers, practitioners, managers, students, communities, and institutions to submit session proposals, training formats, or exhibition concepts—particularly in the following areas:
-
fieldwork, documentation, and digital methods under real conditions
-
archaeology and World Heritage: knowledge, management, protection
-
interpretation, storytelling, and community engagement
-
ethics, data governance, and responsible innovation
-
big data, AI, and synthetic knowledge creation
-
education, capacity building, and young professionals
We also welcome submissions for exhibitions and hands-on training formats—especially where practice, research, and technology intersect.
All information and submission details can be found at:

We look forward to your contributions and to a lively international exchange at CHNT31 in Vienna, 11–13 November 2026.
