Season’s Greetings from CHNT – Thanks, Reflections, and Looking Ahead to CHNT31
As the year comes to a close, it’s a good moment to pause. 2025 has been a dynamic year for CHNT: intensive discussions, new perspectives on cultural heritage, and many contributions that once again underlined how relevant, contested, and future-oriented the field is.
We would like to thank everyone who makes CHNT possible: speakers, authors, project partners, participants, and supporters. CHNT exists because of your expertise, commitment, and willingness to engage critically across disciplines.
At the same time, we are already looking ahead. CHNT31 will take place from 11–13 November 2026 Schönbrunn Palace, Apothecarie’s Wing (Vienna). The Call for Sessions is currently open until 15 January 2026, and we strongly encourage you to submit your ideas and help shape the next edition of the conference.
In addition, a reminder for all contributors to the last conference: the Proceedings of CHNT30 are in preparation, and the final submission deadline is 31 January 2026.
Especially in times of social and technological change, cultural heritage is not a nostalgic side issue. It is deeply embedded in current debates on access, digital transformation, responsibility, and the plurality of voices. These questions will continue to guide CHNT in the year ahead.
For the coming weeks, we wish you calm days, some distance from everyday routines, and time to recharge. Use the break to let ideas mature — we look forward to continuing the conversation with you in 2026.
Merry Christmas, relaxing holidays,
and a strong start to the new year
The CHNT Team
