born in Strasbourg, raised in the Middle East, graduated in Vienna at the Lycée Français de Vienne, studied in Lebanon at the Université Saint Joseph, continued towards Germany for the beginning of her doctoral thesis, back to Vienna: called to the University of Vienna at the Institute of Oriental Studies, assistant and active in teaching (archaeology of the Near and Middle East and the Arabian Peninsula).

Birth of two children, detour into the private sector and simultaneous start of self-employment.

Elisabeth Monamy is an archaeologist since 2003. She specialized in the Near and Middle East and the Arabian Peninsula. In 2015 she founded the company “Archeomuse e.U.” to reach people who are looking for a culinary challenge or who prefer an innovative approach to archaeology and history with her passions cooking and archaeology.

Besides the ancient cooking workshops Elisabeth Monamy also gives scientific lectures.
