Willem Beex
I am a North-West European and Mediterranean archaeologist by origin, with a background of Art History and educated in Beta Sciences. After my graduation I specialized in Applied Informatics for Archaeology and Surveying Techniques.
During my studies and professional career I took part in many excavations and field surveys in the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Lebanon, Syria, Israel (Palestine), Egypt and even in the USA. With functions ranging from basic fieldworker up to excavation leader. Nowadays I have my own company for surveying and visualizing Cultural Heritage.
After I gave my first paper in Vienna at CNHT6, I really became hooked on this conference and this beautiful city with two papers during CHNT7. Resulting in chairing a session at CHNT8. And I have been a very active member of the Scientific Committee of the CHNT-conference since CNHT9.
